Heather was exceptional, very informative and with a personal touch, my birthday was on Friday 10th, and she gave me a birthday card- That was very nice of her and husband. Also she let us stay extra hour for our check out time. Place was clean and our floor was exactly as we expected. Great location, close the everything. We did enjoy our stay in NY and her place. Thank you!!
The accommodation was dirty, everything was full of dogs. Everything was very worn. There was no tv in the room, but it was on the picture. The door could hardly be closed. No cabinet, wires hung, towels were dirty. You could not sleep because mouse was running , and he cheated on our stuff. We could not stay there, we were forced to pay for another accommodation. I do not recommend this house to anybody.
War super schön
Nik und Heather sind einfach super..
War der beste Urlaub denn ich gemacht habe..
Jeder Zeit wieder..
I stayed in the Periwinkle room for two months this past summer, and it was a one of a kind experience. I can't speak more highly of the owners. Heather and Nick are kind, helpful, attentive, and cater to any need one could possibly imagine, even some outside of the normal purview of a landlord.
The room was beautiful, bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere was excellent. The house is two blocks from the subway with easy access to the rest of Brooklyn and Queens and a very reasonable commute into Manhattan.
The house has multiple other rooms, so one can engage with other boarders (though the walls are thick, so only when desired). The neighborhood has a deep Brooklyn sense of community and a diverse makeup, giving everything from the large houses to the people who live in them feel like a New York you didn't know existed.
My one complaint is the lack of air conditioning made the summer on the third floor a bit of a challenge, but you can't beat the price or the service, so it is definitely where I'll be staying next time I'm in town.
Two thumbs up! For my next time in New York Heather's apartment (rooms) would definitely be my place to stay.
The room was nicer then it looked, location great with a wonderful park very Close.
It was also nice meeting a lot of other people staying in this house!
