We enjoyed the stay in the house boat. The location was very convenient and the boat was very spacious and nicely decorated. The roof terrace is just wonderful...So make sure you spend one morning there relaxing and watching boats passing by...
We had a lovely time . The house boat was very comfortable . Jo was a super host and we thought the location was just perfect for a weekend exploring Amsterdam.
We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Jo
We could not have been happier. This boat is actually even better than the photos would have you believe, (the shower in particular is great, hot and powerful)definitely recommended. Super central location, walking distance from Central Station but still manages to be on a very quiet idiyllic canel. Jo is the lovliest most helpful host there is, I host a flat in London and certainly picked up a few tips from him, he supplies everything you need and more. The boat is fantastic, I would definitely stay here again and will recommend to everyone! Thank you Jo for being a great host.
We had a great time staying on this houseboat. Very quiet, with nature at your window, yet only 5 minutes walk from the busy central parts of town. We were made to feel very welcome, and have just recommended it to a couple of friends planning a trip.
Beautiful boat for a maximum of 4, best location in Amsterdam, close to central-station (5 min walk). Very quiet, nice surrounding. Jo is very helpful and friendly and gave us a very warm welcome and helped us to plan our visit in Amsterdam. The boat is well equipped, only the kitchen-equipment is a little bit poor but that is more or less normal in holiday-flats. There is enough space for four. Very fast internet (WLAN and cable)
Parking is Ossterdok is within walking-distance and compared to parking in the inner-city (5€ per hour) rather cheap (12€ per day but only if you stay at least 5 hrs). We will definetely come back and enjoy Jo's boat.
really enjoyed our stay on the houseboat in October - the boat was really well
equipped, comfortable and in a convenient location within easy walking distance for most places of interest.
Jo was really helpful on our arrival, pointing out a lot of places to visit and local restaurants, supermarkets etc.
It was so wonderfull, the Houseboth and the area.
Our meeting with Jochem was exciting; a very kind man. He told os a lot of the city Amstedam.
I can absolutely recommand this place to stay.

Jochem is a great host . we explained everything necessary response to our travel plan. The boat has everything you need and is very comfortable and quiet, very close and connected to any part of the city.
We had an absolutely brilliant stay for 3 nights. The houseboat is beautifully done and very very homely. It was the perfect location. We parked in Oostdock, next to Central station under the library, which is about 300yards from Jo's boat. (We'd thought of using P&R, but it was so simple and convenient to stroll across with a couple of bags, rather than catching bus, etc - and its €12 a night).
Back to the houseboat - as I said, really nicely done out, with a cottagey, lived in, feel (or, rather, houseboatey!). Everything we needed, including seats on deck to watch the world go by. Jo is lovely - he sat with us and talked through what we wanted to do and then drew it on the map for us. Made us feel really welcome, including the use of his bonus card at the local supermarket, and he is clearly rightly proud of his beautiful city and knows his history! We could not believe how central we were - spent 3 days strolling round including Van Gogh (book online to jump queue), and lots of hot chocolate! We ate in 't Tuinfeest and Van Beeren - both within 200 yards, and both very local rather than touristy (see TripAdvisor for reviews)
Once again, thank you to Jo for his great place - thoroughly recommended!
