Although we didn't have any complaints about the apartment, we did have some trouble communicating with the host. A month before we would stay at the apartment we mailed our host with details of our flight and asked him if he could arrange transfer between the airport and the apartment. Also for arranging a trip to Auschwitz for us (since he put up in the advertisement that he could do so). The answer we received back was just that he "could arrange any trips". A few days before we would leave for Krakow we mailed our host again just to be sure that he knew the details of our stay and also if he had arranged any transfer. We did not get any email back. The following days we mailed if he could respond and moments before we got on the flight we sent him our phonenumber because we still hadn't heard anything from him. When we arrived at Krakow we tried calling and texting. After some time someone called back. It was not Andrzej but his friend. They clearly didn't expect us and thought we would stay at another apartment of his. Later the friend of Andrzej send his girlfriend to clean the apartment for us. At this point we still had not met our host. Tuesday evening at 23:45 pm we heard somebody trying to open our door. Fortunately we had locked the door from the inside. We asked who he was en what he was doing. It was Andrzej and he said that he received a call from us. We told him that we did not called and asked him what the number was. It wasn't our number. We were quitte upset at that moment. Especially since he did not knock and we had not met him before. It could be anyone trying to open the door. Later on we got an email in which the host apoligized for disturbing us. We also want to point out that the host may want to inform that the apartment is only attainable by using the stairs which is a whole climb for older people and the last evening and morning we only had cold water. The apartment itself is comfortable and on a great location.
This appartment was a good choice! It's situated very close to the old town of Krakow and u can walk by feet to mainstation and old town and all important touristic attractions.
We really liked the furnitures in the appartment and it was cozy and also the 2 floors are great! It's more than enough space and u can have a comfortable stay. It looks exactly like on the pictures :)!
What we found they could made better is a holder for toilet paper (there was none in both bathrooms) and also for towels in the small bathroom. Also we didn't find a second blanket in the first night, and then I had the idea to search under the bedcouch where we found one. The bed is quite small for 2 ppl but this I think it's depending what u are used to have on your own home.
Also it should be written in the description that it is Nr.21 appartment, we didn't know that and then when we finally found it (after calling Andrzej) noone were there to let us in. We had to wait half an hour more until his friend came with the keys.
But that's the only reasons why we give this appartment 4 stars, otherwise everything was great :)!
Thx for your kindness.
Very nice and tidy apartment close to town centre. The host was a pleasure to deal with. I definitely recommend it. If I ever stay in Krakow again I will try to stay here again.
The apartment was excellent - spacious, clean, well equipped and good wifi. A short stroll to the main square and close to public transport. The hot water worked but was a bit temperamental but was only a minor issue. Definitely recommend this apartment.
The location is very well situated, just 5 min walk from Hyper-centre (Market Place).
It is on 3rd floor without lift !
The design and supplies are very good. The appartment has been recently refurbished. Wifi connection was allright after we got from SMS the Wifi Channel name (password was provided on a note inside the appartment).
We have 3 minor complaints :
1- The sheets provided with the duplex upfloor bed were quite rough. We managed with some extra blankets (that were not so clean...)
2- We lost 2 hours on arrival because the scheduled appointment was not clearly recorded by Host and we had to call Wimdu assistance to get Andrezj's mobile phone. He finally send a friend to welcome us, but the appartment had not been "cleaned" (however it was quite clean).
3- You must remember that some key locks are inverted, so we had to call back for Host's assistance to get into the appartment at "late check-in ".
-But all in all, it is a 3 stars adress, 4 stars if you do not get any problem on check-in.
And Krakow and surroundings are definitely a 5 stars destination.
prefect and big apartment, everything was clean and andrzej is a nice host. he also picked me up from the airport what was realy nice. i highly recommend to stay at his place. everything needed is nearby and to the old town center its only 5 minutes by foot. if i come back to krakow i would stay at this place again
Sehr gute zentrale Lage.
