Gorgeous room on parlor floor apartment with 10-ft ceilings in a renovated and restored late 1800’s brownstone on a quiet block of historic Stuyvesant Heights. The room is very private, in a family owned townhouse style brownstone. It offers a grand room with original carved wooden window trimming and the original parquet floor beautifully preserved; a complete kitchen and bathroom. Futon in room can easily be made into a bed, airbed(s) can also be provided for additional sleeping needs. For additional comfort I will provide a mattress topper for the futon.
The bathroom is very spacious, and comes equipped with flatiron, and blow-dryer. The place is fully furnished with tables, comfortable seating, and good lighting. Kitchen is stocked with coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, full refrigerator and freezer, coffee, sugar, salt, spices, and basic cooking and serving essentials. Free wireless internet connection available.Tall windows with lots of natural sunlight throughout apartment.Shades on the windows can be drawn for privacy, and to help keep the space cool in the summer (which is easy, given the high ceilings and the cross-draft).

Me and my to daughters had a wonderful time at Yokis place. The location is PERFECT with the subway round the corner, a `white dot station´ so you could take any train on the blue line (the express trains only stops at the white dot stations). Also a couple of decent places to eat in the neighborhood, we brought fast food home a couple of times and had breakfast on the corner.
Yoki, the hoast was very nice, we shared kitchen and bathroom, but we hardly noticed her the whole stay so that was definitely not an issue. The room had everything we needed and the wifi worked perfectly. That´s quite important since that is mainly what you need when you come home after a long day without internet :-) No TV though, but for us it did´nt matter at all beacause we wasn´t home that much. I will definetly recommed Yoki´s apartment, cozy, perfect location at a fair price. Thanks for a lovely week :-)
We enjoyed very much our stay in the stylish room of this over 100 years old house in Brooklyn. The access to the subway was easy in 4 minutes and many restaurants and shops around. Yoki was lovely host and we got many tips to get around.
Thank you Yoki, you made our time in Brooklyn extra special!! Your place is nice and clean, our beds were very comfy and your bath and kitchen offered everything one needs. You made us feel at home instantly and it was like we met a friend and not "just" a host. We definitely like to stay with you and your sweet son again when in New York!!!
The flat was a second time our home after the round-trip through the States of New England. Perfect!

Yoki ist a very kind hostess. We enjoyed our stay in the nice room and liked to come back from the noisy Manhattan to Brooklyn.
Nearby the flat we enjoyed the short way to subway and also to visit the nice café at the corner.
Thank you very much!

HORRIBLE: BED BUGS . The room was infested with bed bugs. The bites cause spectacular and painful eczema.A nightmare . Go on google to be aware. And back home it's a hard and costly moment :washing, cleaning, steam, freezer for all the clothes and luggages .
the room is large but separated from the kitchen by a simple window panel : noise and lights.
The metro is very close
The room is a spacious, beautiful room, with adjacent the kitchen and bathroom. It is a 2 minutes walk to public transport, only half an hour or less by subway from Penn station, with a frequent service. Cosy restaurants and supermarket close by.
Yoki is very friendly, even allowed us to check in very very early in the morning, as we had an early flight into the city. Enjoyed this lovely room in a quiet, but lively neighborhood.
We had a great stay at Yoki's place in Brooklyn. The room is very cozy, with vintage woodwork around the doors and windows. The kitchen is clean and well equipped and you will find everything you need if you want to prepare your own meals. Eating out is also no problem, there are countless cafes, restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood. The Metro station is just around the corner, so this is a perfect place for trips to Manhattan. Yoki is an awesome host and this place highly recommended!
Yoki is a very warm and welcoming person and we had great conversations. Her room was our litte, lovely, private space in this never sleeping city. In case we visit NY again (and I hope so) we´d keep taking her room again.
