I was so happy to discover such a delicious apartment in Paris, on the little hill where Edith Piaf and Maurice Chevalier were born! Josiane is so careful and her house so amazing, the inside so warm and cozy, evry little detail so significant, and the rare gorgeous little garden full of bright colors of flowers and rambling roses, I fell in love with it at first sight....the apartment has a beautiful wooden stair, and seems so much larger thanks to the cure of the lady in the choice of fabrics and colors and furniture. I think that the difference between a great host and a simple host is the love you feel in the house, the love in preparing everything will make the people who will live there feel almost at home....Every evening I was back with my son after a great day of art and beauty and architecture and climbing over towers and stairs and ancient building, the feeling we both share was pure happiness to stay there and feel so comfortable and cozy....thank you Josiane, unforgettable experience! We stayed for a week in Josiane's appartment, which is very comfortable, clean and suprisingly quite. Josiane is very friendly and helpfull.
It is a excellent place to stay and a good base for enjoying the lovely city of Paris.
It was a delight to meet Josiane and then to settle in to the charming apartment next door. It is spacious for a couple and everything needed is provided. The self catering facilities are fine and, when the weather allows it was great to be able to sit outside in the small terrace that is quite an oasis in a busy area. The location is excellent close to shops of many kinds and a short five minute walk to the Metro which has you in the centre of Paris within 12-15 mins. The local area itself has much to interest you as well as good access to the regio of Paris. Josiane was very helpful and considerate and we hope to stay again when next we travel. Highly recommended.
My husband and I were warmly welcomed by Josiane on our arrival. Her apartment was a great place - a little home away from home and looked just like the pictures in her advertisement. All was clean and comfortable. Especially liked the 2 floor layout - no feeling of being cramped like a hotel room.
The patio garden was the perfect place to start the day with coffee and end it with a glass of wine!
Josiane was very helpful when we needed info about our stay: restaurants, sightseeing places, Metro, as well as her neighbourhood. We feel we left behind a friend at the end of our stay.
The apartment is located in the very dynamic Belleville area. Lots of multicultural restaurants nearby. There was loud music at the outdoor courtyard nearby in the evenings. That was our only problem - we go to bed early! Anne H.
We are an Australian couple who thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Josiane at Belleville. Unfortunately our airline lost our luggage for over 48 hours which was disappointing. However our charming hostess was happy to help us in any way possible. We loved the apartment and it's gorgeous little garden. Restaurants and shops and the Metro were all in walking distance. We were in the city centre in 20 minutes. The apartment was well equipped and met all our needs .We would like to thank Josiane for her hospitality and wish her well in the future
I spent 30 mins writing a detailed guide for you all but lost it all when using the delete button!
This is a fantastic apartment with a lovely hostess in a very easy to get to position.
This property offers easy access to all areas of Paris via the Metro just 5 mins away and is excellent value. We would come back again.
We enjoyed our holidays in Paris and felt very comfortable to live in Josiane's house in Belleville. Though located in a big and busy city it was pretty quiet and we liked to sit in the small but sunny garden. I think we will go there again when we'll be the next time in Paris.
WOW! What a fabulous apartment and fantastic host, plenty of room in apartment which is well equipped with everything you need, restaurants within seconds are all around with a huge variety, supermarket, bakery, butcher all within 2 minutes walk, metro 200 mtrs and only 20 min to central Paris for $2 . The little garden was a pleasure to return to and enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. Highly recommended.
Josiane's duplex is a fantastic oasis in the middle of Paris. My grandson and I just returned two days ago from our wonderful trip to France and this duplex was just perfect for our needs. Josiane has a fantastic jewel here and we were so lucky to be able to make it our home for almost a week in July. Josiane is a gracious hostess and will help you as much as you want---or---leave you alone to conquer the city on your own. Very charming and perfect for one or two. Two nearby Metro connections (Belveville & Pyrenees) make it easy to get around. Plenty of grocery stores. bakeries, eating places, shopping, and a fun outdoor market twice a week (Tuesday&Friday mornings). There was no a/c available, but we slept with the balcony door open and used some available fans. Two stovetop burners, a nice combo oven/microwave, coffeemaker, hot water pot for tea or?, a small refrigerator with small freezer inside, plus dishes, glassware, cooking pans, flatware, makes this easy to fix your own meals and save a few Euros by not eating out every meal like you would have to do in a hotel. This accommodation is a wonderful, calm & quiet surprise in a busy city. It was perfect for us. My grandson and I rate it an A++++++
We had a wonderful stay in this little cottage in Paris. It has a beautiful little quiet garden, where we relaxed after visiting the city. Public transport is nearby, just like bakery, supermarket and lots of nice (inexpensive) restaurants. If you travel by car it's possible to reserve a parkingplace in advance in parking Olivier Metra for 50 euros for one week.
Thanks Josiane for your hospitality!
