Cheerful and Bright Room
|住所||Coburg Crescent, SW2 3HT London, イギリス|
Situated at the top of the house, the room has its own landing and kitchenette facility for private use. The house has gas central heating, double glazed windows, and a large shared kitchen overlooking a paved garden. The main bathroom is shared with just 1 tenant.
(TV in bedroom has been removed)
It is ideally located for access to central London, just 8 minutes to Brixton underground station by bus and 6 minutes by tube train to central London. It is also just 15 minutes from Tulse Hill or Streatham Hill stations. Also ideal for the A23 road to the seaside town of Brighton and Gatwick airport.
The room offers its own entry phone and room key, tea and coffee making facilities. Wi-Fi is available. Outside the house there is free off street parking.
From here you will be at a short walk to shops and amenities, short walk to trains from Tulse Hill to London Bridge and Streatham Hill to London Victoria and at a short walk for buses to Brixton underground and the colorful street market.
Brixton serves many London buses routes including the West End shops, the London Eye, the City of London and Piccadilly Circus.
In 2005, the last traditional Routemaster bus ran through Brixton on Route 159. The bus garage situated at Streatham, Telford Avenue is known as Brixton Garage to distinguish it from another bus garage that existed in Streatham. The "Brixton Bus Garage" was until 1952 a tram depot.
My sister and I look forward to welcoming you to Coburg Crescent.
Pets are not allowed.
Late check-In fees may apply.
Please leave room tidy on check-out.
My sister and I do not live at the house but when possible we offer a Meet and Greet Service from Brixton and Streatham Hill for a small fee.
This room is perfect.
- Clean, cozy and spacious : the room looks eactly like the photos on the website, it is spacious and bright, and the bed is comfortable.
- Well-located : By bus or by tube, you can reach directly the centre of London in 30minutes or so; plus, there are plenty of shops near the house to buy groceries.
- The hosts are lovely : I didn't meet Comfort but her sister Bunmi was here, she made herself available to show us the way to the house and her warm welcome was extremely reassuring.
If I come back in London, I will definitely stay in Comfort's house !
The room was very nice and comfortable, though the mattress might need a change. Comforts sister picked us up at the tube station and was very nice!
We had a great time in London :-)
Had a great time at Comfort's. Actually I must say that this must be one of the better, if not the best room I've stayed at through Wimdu, when atmosphere is what's taken into consideration. Especially I enjoyed the wooden (at timds squeeky) wooden flooring, which is somewhat unusual in the UK. We had sunshine one of the days, and the large windows lit up the room beautifully through the translucent curtains, and in the outside park children were playing - and I was very pleased to be hearing birds singing as opposed to traffic noise. The bathroom was near at hand and only shared with one other resident, of whom I saw nothing, and though the kitchen was a bit far off, this was substituded well for with amenities in the room and immediately outside it. Perfect if you don't plan to be doing actual cooking on your stay.
Really nice room quite big and clean. We had a wonderfull time here.
And comfort's sister was really nice. This is a good reference for a next stay in London.
The room is really spacious, with plenty of hanging space and shelves in the wardrobe as well as a chest of drawers, bedside table and desk. I stayed for five weeks in total while I was carrying out research. It's a bit annoying that the kitchen and fridge are on the ground floor as the room is at the top of the townhouse, but being at the top, also means it's nice and quiet and no one is walking past your room on the way to theirs. There was plenty of crockery, cutlery and pans. The house is just under 10 mins to the bus stops at Tulse Hill station or Streatham Hill/Christchurch Road, so it is very easy to either catch the bus up to Brixton underground station and continue on from there, or to catch a bus direct to King's Cross, Victoria, Oxford Street, Euston, Paddington, Liverpool Street, London Bridge. Westminster, Bank (anywhere you can think of really!).
Very friendly people especially Comfort's Sister. Several bus routes to City centre. Nice accommodation.
The room was comfortable, clean and bright. I really love it.
The next busstop and the small supermarket are conveniently situated in only 5 minutes. We had all the things that we need in the kitchen.
Futhermore we also liked the surrounding. It's very green and quiet.
Moreover you have to bring a little patience for the shower. It takes a while to find the right temperature. Maybe the bath could be a little bit cleaner.
Also it would be great to put up darker curtains. We always woke up early in the morning, because it was so bright in the room.
All in all it was a nice shelter for our london trip. And if all the points of criticism will be done its a perfect shelter ;)
Thanks for your hospitality!
Comfort and her sister are very nice girls ;) The place was fine, bright and the basics available. 5 minutes walk to a bus stop with service 24 hours directly to the center area; you can also reach Brixton Underground and move easily around the city by tube.
Quiet place, you´ll have refrigerator, kitchen with all the stuff you need. Shower is fine, you just have to be patient and move in small "steps" the shower tap and it'll work perfectly.
Some dust around, not big deal.
Lovely place, very private for shared accommodation. Looked exactly like the pictures and hosts were very welcoming to my friend. Shop just 30 seconds walk away..in case you run out of anything!
Only a short bus ride(bus 2) from Brixton tube station or a 15minute walk from Streatham Hill. Will book again.
The place was great and Comfort is a very helpful host. She picked us up at Victoria station and drove us to the bus when we we were going home :-) The other people living there are friendly and we had some nice chats in the kitchen.
Moreover, the area is very colourful and it is close to bus stops, shops, and pubs. Furthermore, you are close to Electric Avenue, the first street in London to have electricity...A fun fact and something you have to see when being in the area. Complimentary tea, coffee, and chocolates. :-)
