Also, please check the 'Calendar' tab before you inquire about dates. I do keep the Calendar up to date daily (M-F).
This newly renovated apt in the East Village would be perfect for a couple, 2 couples or small group of family and friends who want to experience living in a fantastic apartment in NYC while saving a few bucks from pricey NYC hotels that are located in the heart of the tourist frenzy areas in midtown. It's very clean and has things no hotel can offer.
This posting is for use of an entire private 1 bedroom apartment with a full bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, living room, dining area and an outdoor patio! This awesome apartment building has a killer roof deck with panoramic views of all of NYC and bridges. The building is manned with a 24 HOUR Doorman / Security, free gym and laundry room in the basement (coin operated).
PRICING: in $ USD
$ 200 / night (based on minimum 7 nights 1 or 2 people).
Weekends: FRI, SAT + SUN are $ 250 / night (if total stay is less than 7 nights).
Weekdays: MON - THUR are $ 225/night (if total stay is less than 7 nights)
Extra people: $ 30 / night per person, maximum 5 people.
The patio off the kitchen is just perfect for a cup of coffee in the morning with some sun which faces the beautiful courtyard with little to no street noise.
If you're the physical type, there is a gym (free) for your use in the basement of the building as well as a laundry room (coin operated), vending machines and ATM as well.
The unit has a fully stocked kitchen: full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, gas stove/oven, microwave, top of the line stainless cookware, utensils, dishware, glassware and a full private bathroom with bath tub.
The Building and Neighborhood: This building complex has 125 units, most are 2 bedroom units, but this is a special 3 BR Duplex with 3 outdoor patios! I have divided into 2 private apartments (this 1 BR listing and the other 2 BR listing). The neighborhood is very lively after the sun goes down. The East Village has been heavily built up over the last 5 years and located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Manhattan. The East Village offers a variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and a beautiful park. You can walk to Indian, Russian, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vegetarian and American restaurants within a 5 block radius. If you're too tired and beat up from touring NYC and don't feel like going anywhere, you can simply order in and have anything delivered to the room (usually until 11 pm or midnight). And these little privately owned restaurants are MUCH better than midtown/tourist-trap food chain places. There are at least three 24/hr places to eat within 1 block. This building is one of only a few in the neighborhood that has a doorman and an elevator. About 95% of the buildings in the area are walk-ups. Your "home away from home" will provide the NYC experience not soon forgotten: the spectacular panoramic view of NYC on the roof deck (elevator and outdoor furniture up there), outdoor patio accessible from kitchen door, a huge courtyard in middle of complex, about 50 restaurant/bars/cafe's within a 3 block radius and probably 500 within a 10 block radius. Enjoy a beautiful park (Tompkins Square) at the end of the block and an East River waterfront park about 4 streets/blocks to the east.
For additional fees, I can recommend personal tour guides specific to various parts of NYC and to all the tourist attractions, as well as recommend cool, not-in-the-guide-books places for nightlife or dinner.

All went very well with our stay. Very organized meet up, nice and clean apartmant. I'd return anytime.
What an absolutely wonderful apartment with such a wonderful host. Bruce made us feel very welcome and provided us with all the info we needed to make sure our stay was as easy as possible. The apartment is high quality, has everything you need and is in a fantastic spot to get to the subway, parks and anything you could want. Highly recommended! We cannot wait to go back.
A wondeful apartment in a fantastic location - get a feel for the 'real' Manhattan rather than 'hotelville in Touristland'. Bruce was really welcoming and helpful. The apartment was quiet and safe.
What a great experience. As a small company who typically uses hotels, we decided to try something alternative. This is our new preferred way to travel. Fun, (very) cost effective and a much more interesting way to explore a city. Bruce is a wonderful host with excellent attention to detail and advice as to the best places to eat and drink in the East Village. His hospitality and geniality is superb.
Bruce and Cindy are so kind, so friendly and so welcoming ! Their apartment is clean, well located, near from everything (walking or taking the subway). You can really trust them, they adviced us and make us feel like home. We could have some conversation even the language barrier. It was just a wonderfull trip, we loved it ! The only drawback is the street noise at night but, well, New York is the city that never sleeps so we can't do nothing for that No, really, we advice you to choose Bruce and Cindy, they are really great people !
Bon voyage !
Have a nice trip !

Bruce was a very nice and helpful host from the reservation until the check out. Would definitely recommend the place and for sure, we will come back next time! Thanks Bruce.
Bruce apartment was great, fantastic location and worked well for a family of four. The apartment conttains what you need in terms of kitchen equipment and Bruce had kindly provided us with juice, bread etc which was a great help as we arrived very late at night. Beds were comfortable, the apartment clean and Bruce and Cindy were great hosts.
We had a great time at Bruce's place. Both apartments were great, cleaned and well organized. We had what we expected for breakfast :) Bruce was really kind and helpful!! We highly recommend the apartment, location is great! Close to Union Square and there is a grocery in the corner, just awesome!
