Also, please check the 'Calendar' tab before you inquire about dates. I do keep the Calendar up to date daily (M-F).
This newly renovated apt in the East Village would be perfect for a couple, 2 couples or small group of family and friends who want to experience living in a fantastic apartment in NYC while saving a few bucks from pricey NYC hotels that are located in the heart of the tourist frenzy areas in midtown. It's very clean and has things no hotel can offer.
This posting is for use of an entire private 1 bedroom apartment with a full bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, living room, dining area and an outdoor patio! This awesome apartment building has a killer roof deck with panoramic views of all of NYC and bridges. The building is manned with a 24 HOUR Doorman / Security, free gym and laundry room in the basement (coin operated).
PRICING: in $ USD
$ 200 / night (based on minimum 7 nights 1 or 2 people).
Weekends: FRI, SAT + SUN are $ 250 / night (if total stay is less than 7 nights).
Weekdays: MON - THUR are $ 225/night (if total stay is less than 7 nights)
Extra people: $ 30 / night per person, maximum 5 people.
The patio off the kitchen is just perfect for a cup of coffee in the morning with some sun which faces the beautiful courtyard with little to no street noise.
If you're the physical type, there is a gym (free) for your use in the basement of the building as well as a laundry room (coin operated), vending machines and ATM as well.
The unit has a fully stocked kitchen: full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, gas stove/oven, microwave, top of the line stainless cookware, utensils, dishware, glassware and a full private bathroom with bath tub.
The Building and Neighborhood: This building complex has 125 units, most are 2 bedroom units, but this is a special 3 BR Duplex with 3 outdoor patios! I have divided into 2 private apartments (this 1 BR listing and the other 2 BR listing). The neighborhood is very lively after the sun goes down. The East Village has been heavily built up over the last 5 years and located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Manhattan. The East Village offers a variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and a beautiful park. You can walk to Indian, Russian, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vegetarian and American restaurants within a 5 block radius. If you're too tired and beat up from touring NYC and don't feel like going anywhere, you can simply order in and have anything delivered to the room (usually until 11 pm or midnight). And these little privately owned restaurants are MUCH better than midtown/tourist-trap food chain places. There are at least three 24/hr places to eat within 1 block. This building is one of only a few in the neighborhood that has a doorman and an elevator. About 95% of the buildings in the area are walk-ups. Your "home away from home" will provide the NYC experience not soon forgotten: the spectacular panoramic view of NYC on the roof deck (elevator and outdoor furniture up there), outdoor patio accessible from kitchen door, a huge courtyard in middle of complex, about 50 restaurant/bars/cafe's within a 3 block radius and probably 500 within a 10 block radius. Enjoy a beautiful park (Tompkins Square) at the end of the block and an East River waterfront park about 4 streets/blocks to the east.
For additional fees, I can recommend personal tour guides specific to various parts of NYC and to all the tourist attractions, as well as recommend cool, not-in-the-guide-books places for nightlife or dinner.

We really enjoyed staying here. Bruce is a friendly guy who obviously takes great care of both the apartment and the contact / communication with us. Clear and practical info beforehand and durng our stay, nice and clean apartment and a breakfast that we could specify some things we like. I definitely recommend this place to others and would love to stay with him again.
Bruce was a great host. Everything was perfect.
He gave us a lot of infomation about New York weeks before our stay there.
The appartment was clean and we were allowed to use everything we need, like salt, oil, honey, etc.
We just had to walk 8-10 minutes to subway station, where each attraction was accessible.
We recommend a stay at Bruce` appartment!
Bruce was a very kind and helpful host. Location of the B&B in East village was great. We can only recommend to stay with Bruce.
Great stay at Bruce & Cyndi's in the fantastic East village.Easy reach of subway(about 10 min's walk) area full of every type of restaurant you could ever need seems safe enough at any time & its great to stay as part of the city instead of just being in an anonymous hotel.Would stay again no problem.
we stayed 14 days at Bruce's appartment and had a fantastic time. The room we had was very clean and homely. There was a small fridge, cable TV and WLAN. It perfectly fitted our needs and we felt straight at home. We could even sit outside and have a smoke and a glass of wine which is not that common in NY. Bruce and Cindy are fantastic hosts took time to talk to us and gave us excellent tips on were to eat in the neighbourhood. In short: good people that make you feel welcome. The appartment comes with a shared roof terrace which gives an incredible view of the NY skyline. The neighbourhood is secure and there are loads of good restaurants and bars. The underground is quite easy to reach so it's perfect to get to other burrows as well. All in all we can highly recommend a stay with Bruce and Cindy.
First I want to thank to Bruce and Cyndi by their attentions. They tried to provide us everything we needed.
We were all the time visiting the town, but the few time that we shared, they were very nice.
About the room, it was all what we need. It is clean and more than enough for 2 persons. May be that i missed a kitchen (as Spanish I like cook frequently), but there are a lot of place to eat in the zone, so it isn't really a problem, and Bruce has got an double hot plate where you can prepare something.
The building is great (2 lifts/elevators, gym, laundry) and the doormen, in special Bob, are friendly.
The zone is good and the weekend have a lot of revelry. There are some bus lines crossing it and they leave you in subway stations, so you can access to any place of the city easily.
In resume, it was a nice experience that we would like repeat.
To all who thinks in visit NY, Bruce's appartment is a nice option.
The apartment was comfortable, clean and very convenient to the subway, nearby dining, coffee shops, bars and markets. We enjoyed our stay and Bruce was a great host.
Our stay at Bruce's was definitely great! He kept in touch and sent us useful information before our arrival. The room was cosy, everything we needed was there. Whenever we had a question, Bruce was happy to help us. The neighbourhood is really wonderful, we think it's the best place to stay at in New York.
We had an excellent stay at Bruce's place. The room is very spacious and has plenty of room, the bed is very comfy and breakfast is included. It a 10 minute walk away from the subway; the neighbourhood seems to be safe around the clock, so no worries there. There are a lot of bars and restaurants nearby, so you won't be bored. The appartement features a nice rooftop view over Manhattan - buildings like the Empire state, the Crysler and the new Freedom tower are nicely visible.
Best of all, we really liked Bruce himself. He has loads to tell and tips about what to do (and what not) in NYC. He's really relaxed and down to earth. As we didn't know wether we'd get out of the city or not (due to an upcoming storm, which grounded a few hundred planes) Bruce offered us to stay for another night (without charge); as far I am concerned, he was the perfect host.
Highly advised :)
My Family of 4 adults and 1 child stayed in Bruce's apartment for 3 nights, the apartment was big enough for all us. It was clean and newly decorated...the location was just right for us with plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants just at the end of the street.
Bruce was very helpful and a great host, he met us outside the apartment when we arrived and showed us around the apartment and made us feel at home.
There was plenty of juice and milk in the fridge which was a bonus.
Would definitely stay here again if I travel to NYC.
Thanks again Bruce for making our stay comfortable and easy
