The master bedroom is your sanctuary with a brand-new, incredibly-comfortable California king-size bed and two plush, over-sized, leather club chairs. Enjoy TV, DVD, 15 mps high-speed wireless Internet. The (shared) bathroom is right next door and features a shower large enough to accommodate two and separate bathtub. Enjoy full kitchen access with a lovely Art Deco breakfast nook. Espressos, lattes, juicer, etc. and a blender for smoothies and/or Margaritas. Lovely formal dining room and a designer living room with fireplace, view of downtown, and 55-inch LED/LCD surround-sound, multimedia home theater. Brand-new steam-cleaning washer/drier has a quick steam refresh feature. No ironing! Beautifully landscaped back yard for lounging, drinking, dining, even entertaining.
I live two minutes south of BEVERLY HILLS just off the ultra-chic, celebrity-filled Robertson Blvd (much more hip than Rodeo Drive, but close to there too if you like), CENTURY CITY, WEST HOLLYWOOD and (if you prefer locals to tourists) the newly-refurbished CULVER CITY filled with European-style sidewalk bars, restaurants, multiplex movie theater, and the intimate (Art Deco) Kirk Douglas Theater if you prefer drama. Have a drink in the historic Culver Hotel where the Munchkins slept and notoriously partied (hard) every night while filming The Wizard of Oz. (Ruby slippers optional.) You are 15 minutes, but usually less, from everywhere else whether it be the AIRPORT (want me to pick you up?), DOWNTOWN, WESTWOOD (UCLA), HOLLYWOOD, VENICE, or SANTA MONICA. Virtually all of LA's many museums and attractions are within easy reach.
My "Pico/Roberson" neighborhood is quiet, classy, eclectic and ethnically-diverse with small, intimate restaurants ranging from Thai to Vietnamese, Chinese, Sushi, countless Kosher restaurants (including LA's first delicatessen), Kosher Mexican if you can believe that, authentic Mexican (duh!), French, Lebanese, bakeries galore, and even a hand-made ice cream and candy store. All are within walking distance. Elat, an unbelievable, multi-ethnic Middle-Eastern/Mediterranean supermarket is just up my street on Pico. (Great website!) Trader Joe's is five minutes away as is a more traditional Von's supermarket. Every Thursday, we have a terrific neighborhood Farmer's Market just a few blocks away featuring locally-grown produce.
A historically Jewish neighborhood (now ethnically diverse), countless synagogues are within walking distance, but so is St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. And an Egyptian Coptic Church is right next door to an Indian Sikh Temple just a few blocks from my house. Talk about eclectic!
On the other side of Robertson is La Cienega's "Restaurant Row." Dining/theater options are limitless. Within minutes, you are cruising the historic Fairfax District: Little Ethiopia, Farmers Market, and The Grove's Shopping/Dining/Theater Complex. I am in the center of it all and for the most part you can avoid LA's notorious traffic by sticking to surface streets or rapid transit.
I am one short block from a major bus line and minutes from LA's new rapid transit rail system. Subways in LA? Who knew? An inexpensive "unlimited" day pass whisks you to USC and Exposition Park, Downtown, Hollywood, both the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys, Long Beach (The Queen Mary) and all parts in between. Don't miss the Watts Towers! Link to Central Station, another of LA's many magnificent Art Deco palaces, and catch a train to San Diego (short walk to Mexico), San Francisco, or even Portland and Seattle.
Or forget rapid transit and LA traffic entirely! Bring (or rent) a bicycle! I am one mile from the Ballona Creek bike path which carries you straight to Marina del Rey's beach bike paths south through the quaint coastal cities of Hermosa and Redondo Beach to the Palos Verdes Peninsula (and light house), or north through Venice and Santa Monica all the way to Pacific Palisades. Return to the Ballona Wetlands and allow the afternoon ocean breeze to push you all the way home. LA Fitness' premier workout facility (including large swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi) is four short blocks away.

We were staying at Randy´s house for 8 nights. Before the arrival we had a good e-mail conversation so we had got a lot of useful information about the stay and things to do in LA. The house was like "home" and we could use the facilities as we wanted. The location was perfect for going everywhere in the city and the neigbourhood was quiet and peaceful. A small mall and take away food places is just nearby.
Randy himself is a very good host, that will give you information about the things you want to do or see. We enjoyed the small kitchen and the outside back area of the house, in witch we spent a lot of time in the mornings and evenings.
We had a wonderful time in LA and at Randy´s place. We would highly recomend this place to stay.

So this was my first time in America and im glad i have chosen Randy's place to spend my days! Everything was perfect! Even before arriving! He sent me a very beautiful welcoming email! And from there i started getting to know him better and the most amazing thing is that he always got an answer for everything! So i recommend him if this is your first time in LA or the United States but also if you have already been in the USA or live there i still reccomed you to go to Randy's place because he has a very beautiful House close to all the beautiful places in LA.
I want to thank him soo much for helping me out on everything i needed to know,
he was almost like a father!
So i highy reccomend this great guy!!!!!!!!!
There is nice and clean room. The host was really nice. He was kind and when we go out, he always give us good information for sightseeing so we could have really nice days!! Thank you Randy!!
I had a great time in a beautiful little house where I felt like home. Thank you Randy, see you next time again!!
My friend Camilla and I stayed with Randy for 10 days, and we really loved it. The house was nice. It was close to a big grocery store, close to busses and yet a very nice quiet neighborhood.
We really enjoyed having Randy as our host. He told us about everything we needed to see in LA, he even took us to see the Hollywood sign and the Griffith Observatory to show us the great view of the city. We could not have got a better host. Would definitely go back and stay here again, if I get the time and money :-)
Short to us:
We are a young couple and we always wanted to visit the town of angels.
Randy is our first attempt with WIMDU and we didn't know if he would be a good host or not..but we stayed by him for 2 weeks and we must really say that he is the absolute best host and he became a cool uncle in California for us! :)
Reasons why you should choose Randy's room:
- He writes you about Los Angeles and what expect you before you arrive and if you have any questions he always answers and cares about your necessities what the anticipation raised for us :)
- His house is really central! Indifferent whether Santa Monica, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Venice or Malibu, all within in few minutes (with the car) attainable.
Also his house is very clean and you feel how a member of his family :)
in addition to it his house is located in a secure region :)
- Randy grown up in Los Angeles and knows the town like none other :)
meaning he always helps you to plan your day and shows you many insider informations :)
- WiFi and Netflix are equally available like free parking spaces and a washing machine :)
His rooms are very fast booked out because Randy is sadly not more a Insider information :) so what are you watiting for? :D
Thank you soooo much for this unforgettable time Randy :)
We will you and Los Angeles never forget and will stay in contact :)

Me and my friend had such a good time in Los Angeles. And one big reason is Randy and is beautiful house in Beverly Hills.
He is a very friendly person and it is a pleasure to talk with him not only because he knows best, where to go when you are in Los Angeles.
I fell in love with his good looking and tidy house, because it nearly kicks you back in the good old times. We were there for three days and I enjoyed it so I wish we could have had more days to be there. So what can I say:
Thank you so much Randy!!
I reckon you can't get a better place to stay in LA than at Randy's. If there's something you want to see, Randy knows how to get there. He knows the best places to go to in the city and he is always there to help out.
So far the best host I've encountered during my travels in Wimdu and airBNB-ing. Room's great. Randy has many DVDs if you want to stay a night in. The location is in a peaceful neighbourhood with a bus stop and a grocery store in walking distance. I'm definitely going back here when I'll be back in LA in the future.
Staying at Randys house feels like spending your holiday with a real good friend. The house and the room is always clean and comfortable. The patio is small but amazing. Randy made his house to our house and we felt like home.
We loved to sit together in the evenings, having some drinks or a BBQ and review our days together. Take your time to talk to him and listen to his very great recommendations to explore Los Angeles. It is worth it!!!
Randy is a very friendly, gentle and funny person, who is always interessted in his guests. We spend a lot of time with him and the other guests.
We spend 9 nights at his house and had a really great time. We would love to come back some day.
