Everything was ok, appartment was clean, not very luxury but confortable. As the Appartment is located in the old city town, this gives a specific "Lisboa feeling". We recomend it. Had a nice time there. :-)
Nino was very kind. We had a great time at his apartment. Linen, kitchen, wi-fi, bathroom, TV…All the services were alright. We do suggest this location to enjoy Lisbon downtown. The street is quiet, though it is near to the Chiado and Bairro Alto. For sure, a good choice.
We had a very nice 1 week stay at the apartment which was clean and cozy and in a nice area in the heart of Lisbon.
You can reach Bairro Alto, the metro and the train station in about 10 Minutes by walking. Nino was a good host, who gave us advice for the city and reacted very promptly to any questions and messages. The only downsides were the missing light for the very narrrow staircase (which will probably be fixed soon). Also, we had to figure out, that for hot water, you have to turn the handles into the "cold" direction :) Personally, I would like to have a bigger bed for 2 people but thats more of a personal preference.
All in all we had a very nice stay and would stay again at this apartment.
I stayed at Casa Nino for 5 nights in July, and enjoyed it a lot. It is cosy and modern despite being in an delightful old building, and in a wonderful location to boot! The welcome was friendly and warm.
A few small words of warning, just so you know: at the time of my visit it had no real desk (but I managed with the round kitchen table, so no real problem) and it does not have airconditioning (unless I missed that completely, but the apartment does not need it unless during a heat wave). Let none of this defer you however, this place is great and I recommend it fully!
The stay was great.. great location and very close to the buses and ocean itself.. Thanks for the wonderful place.
So, Casa Nino III offered a pleasant base within the buzzing neighborhood Bairro Alto during our one-week stay. Just a couple of paces away from Noobai Cafe, where you can enjoy a cheap Bica (Espresso) and very tasty Bacalhau and just one corner away from a stop of the famous 28E (the little electric tram seen in ever so many tourist guides). Sounds like staying within Tourist Nirvana, but the apartment is actually just on the edges of the overcrowded part of beautiful Lisbon, offering some calm within the hectic and sometimes exhausting city, but still central enough to be at Cais de Sodre Metro and Chiado Metro station in about 10-15 mins walking. If you are not good on foot, you should probably rethink your Lisbon vacation altogether but almost definitely rethink staying in Bairro Alto with its abundance of steep, cobble-stoned streets which we enjoyed alot.
The apartment itself was just like on the pictures, as well as clean and equipped with perfectly working Kitchen. Free Wi-Fi was also a welcome addition to in-apartment comfort.
And last, but sadly not least: Earlier this year, new neighbors appartently moved in upstairs of this apartment who seems to be living quite the lifestyle of coming home very late, arguing loudly in the very late night / early morning. Nino (the owner of this Wimdu Apartment is on the problem, but with limited possibilities on what he can actually do). This ruined some nights sleep for us. If you think you can sleep with earplugs than this should not pose any problem to you taking the apartment. Otherwise, just rent the apartment below this one (Casa Nino II), which should have all the advantages of this apartment without the noise of the annoying neighbors.
Concludingly: really hoping these annoying people move out soon, because we enjoyed our stay in the comfortable and otherwise cozy flat a lot and it certainly deserves nicer people in its house.
