a very nice and homely flat with a great location, slightly noisy because of the proximity of the neighbours but other than that perfect for a short stay.
This apartment is lovely, good size for two people, and right I. The centre of Madrid without all the noise of the city! It's so conscientious situated close to anton Martin station that getting anywhere is so easy! Loved it, would return in a second! X
There was a problem with the apartament we had booked so martha lucia gave us the possibility of staying in another near the original one. It was quite a nice apartement, small but quite comfortable, in a very good location, pretty much silent. The bedroom was a little bit too small, a little bit claustrophobic but it didn't matter much. The kitchen and the bath were both modern and in very good conditions. There was some confusions about our arrival as martha lucia wasn't in town at the moment. we received various mails with contrasting instructions and when we arrived it was a little diffucult to understand the man that spoke only spanish but we managed to understand each other and we had a pleasant stay. Near the apartement there are a lot of pubs, and bars, that are all pretty good, especially the tavern right across the street. I do recommend it for coples, especiallyfor smoking ones.
Martha's apartment was just as pictured in her photos. Nicely renovated with everything you need, including an iron and great wifi. We had communication problems when we organised check in - we had confirmed that our plane would arrive in Madrid by 7.30pm and that we would be at Apartment by 9pm latest. We arrived at apartment and waited for over an hour panicked that we couldn't get a hold of Martha by telephone or email. A kind neighbour assisted us to text Martha in Spanish as it appears she does not speak English. Once this was sent we were able to contact her and she organised for a friend to meet us at apartment an hour after that. We had a long travel, we were tired and had all our luggage so we were quite upset with the misunderstanding. But after that hiccup, stay was excellent. Apartment is in an arty neighbourhood and very central. We generally just walked to everything. It was about 5mins from metro station, Anton Martin. Took us about 35-40 mins from airport by bus. My advice is to ensure both parties are fully aware of check in details, especially with the language barriers if you don't speak Spanish.
If I were to move to Madrid, I might consider staying permanently in Martha Lucia's apartment near Anton Martin Square. The location is either walking distance or one metro stop from everything. The neighborhood is diverse and a real peek into the daily life of Madrid. Small restaurants and cafes abound. It is a ten minute walk to the Prado through the very interesting art district.
The apartment is simple and comfortable. Martha Lucia has provided everything you could need to enjoy weeks of living in central Madrid. I plan to spend more time in her most pleasant spot.
This apartment is in a brillant location. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby and easy to get around to all places of interest. I love going to Retiro Park and on the boats it is a nice relaxing day. San Miguel market is a good place to go and try all the diffrent tapas. Madrid is an amazing city and my advise is to ditch the map and explore you can't get lost just look out for the metro stops to find you way back.
Great location and a well equipped, comfortable apartment. We loved Madrid and this small flat was the ideal base. Lots of local bars/cafes, some with very good food. Certainly value for money!
Hola!!
