We very much enjoyed staying at the apartment. We did really feel like being a 'New Yorker' because we did get a lot of 'inside'-information from our hosts. That's why we prefered B&B over Hotels and it did meet our expectations. We alse liked the neighbourhood and the many small but surpringly good local restaurants.
We stayed for 9 nights in this appartment. Everything was clean and Sophia was verry nice to us. We are really enjoyed staying at this place. The neighbourhood is good and has some nice restaurants and breakfast places nearby. Subway is 10 minutes walking away. We will come back - for sure!!! Thanks to Sohpia!
Sophia's apartment was nice and cosy. We could use the kitchen any time we wanted, the bathroom and the bedroom were clean and comfortable, the bedroom silent. We slept well during our stay in N.Y.
The location of the apartment was very OK for us. It isn't situated right in the center of Manhattan but with the subway from the station on the W 145 th Street
( express ) we could get anywhere in Manhattan very easily. Upper Broadway is very near to the apartment and there are many bars and restaurants. We liked also the nearby park and sportsfield where we could practise our morning joggings. Great!
Our hostess Sophia is sympatic, friendly, lovely and helpful, and international, too, speaks many languages and gets along with different kind of people.
We surely can recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to stay in N.Y. at reasonable price. We give five stars and 10 points.
Our stay in the apartment was lovely. Sophia is a wonderfully warm and kind hostess who provided us with lots of tips on things to do and see in NYC given our individual interests. It was also wonderful to chat to her about what life in NYC is like. Thank you very much Sophia!
A sweet and nice room indeed, good bed as well! A view off the REAL NYC (Spanish Harlem) feel and surroundings. I Really enjoyed the stay here with our hosts, they we're most polite and helpful in any way possible. I could recommend this room to anyone!
8 Good. Nice, comfortable and safe apartment. The stay here is pleasant .There are shops and establishments near open 24 horas. It is a bit removed from the major attractions of the city and the nearest metro stop is less than 5 minutes, but it takes to get downtown from 20-25 minutes at least. The hostess is very hospitable and offers to help you in whatever you need.
The appartment is very beautiful and extremely comfortable. The hosts were kind and flexible and took their time to help us and we're interested in getting to know us. The owner of the appartment drove almost an hour just to say hello to us! THe drawback of the flat is its location: Harlem is not a neighborhood that inspires safety, specially in the evenings, and the subway station you are actually going to use is about a ten-minute walk away from the appartment. Going downtown with the express train takes about half an hour, including the walk to the subway station station.
Dear Sophia, ¨
we say thank you for your help-, pleasurful and funny way to make our stay unique. Everything in your home was very warm heart and we enjoyed the evening with you. We liked the quitness in the area and it was easy to go in the City and come back home. We got use to it very fast and it was a good feeling to stay like a New York citizen. We felt save and good in all the time. Thank you for everything and see you the next time. Kisses and hugs Sherry&Yesim
Clean and comfortable flat, nearby everything you need (shops, market, bank, grocery, playground, food, pubs...). Well connected with trains to downtown 24/7. Perfect place for quiet sleeping. Excellent quality/price ratio. Neighborhood with genuine people, no tourist. Warm welcome, we felt at home, free to use the flat. Full of attention and suggestions about the city and how to enjoy it.
Thank you Sophia! You and your friends are wonderful. I hope to come back soon!
