After paying for this property I got an email a few days later saying that there had been a double booking and my booking was not valid.
The company were polite and efficient and I got my refund within a few days, but it was disappointing.
Booked a hotel instead.
It was a fantanstic stay in the apartment in Le Ginestre.
The beach is very nice and in the town are a few supermarkets.
Unfortunately was the wifi (we had to pay for that) not so well, in our apartment we had no signal.
Service at the village center was excellent.
the house is clean and well equipped beside very old TV that should be replaced and dishwasher that is missing.
beside the master bedroom, rest of the sleeping rooms are for children only.
location is perfect - at the heart of the region .
The floor was dusty. Apartment is on the 5th floor without lift (no information on description) Be carefull for additional costs (bed linen, towels, taxes) Cleaning charged per person !!!! Wifi very expensive (24 Euro per week for 1GB) You must pickup and drop key 1,2 miles from apartment. Excellent furnitures on desciption - just typical table with chairs and sofa (nothing special) You must defrozen refrigerator but you cannot turn off. Huge PLUS - location !!!
This was an overall appalling experience and thus has led our family to never rent from Wimdu ever again moving forward. As the photos advertised a lovely apartment (not cheap, I might add - about $300 per night), we realized upon arrival and after reading the fine print that the photos on the post were simply an "example" of an apartment that you MIGHT be placed in. After taking an expensive cab ride to pick up the key and digging through pages of contracts to find the code to unlock the door and the safebox, we then had to take another expensive cab to the other side of the city where the apartment was located. The location was fine but we had to drag our heavy bags up three flights of stairs, because the apartment did not have a lift. When we arrived, the apartment was tiny and nothing like the photos online. The worst part was then at checkout, we were expected to return the key to the safebox again on the other side of town. These people BRIDGESTREET ARE COMPLETE FRAUDS! Do not rent from them. Ever.
Apartment is exactly as described.2 rooms ,clean, suitable for a family with upto two kids with a small kitchen. Its 30 mins by bus from the apartment to the altsatdt but the bus stop is only 20m away from the apartment.Could have been better if wifi was also provided.the host was really good, also giving us some suggestions on places to visit for kids.
Will definetly recommend to others.
Apartment was great: decent size with one double bed, two singles and a sofa bed in lounge, which we didn't use, but would have made a decent third bedroom. No wifi in apartment so paid 30 € for a gadget to get us all on line for a week but that was hopeless, not worth the money. In terms of location, Levante beach is not nearly as nice as Poniente. There is a bus (apparently) my son tried use, but that was difficult and took ages. So we used the car to get to the nice beach. Restaurants and bars all better at Old Town. We used this as a base only. If you want somewhere rough, full of stag parties, streets smelling strongly of urine and vomit, Levante is for you. Otherwise stay near the old town or Poniente beach. The apartment is fine but the location is not. I would also add its about a ten minute walk up a steep hill back from bars, perhaps not ideal for lone ladies.
The car park is accessed either by an illegal manoeuvre ( turning right when a right turn is not permitted) or you can find a road which is a detour of about four miles. Everyone does the illegal manoeuvre but it is not at all ideal.
What really made this house great was the outside area; great swimming pool and enough space around with nice seats. Also de patio was a great spot for dinner and lunch.
The interior was not great; no airco of fan (so HOT), bad kitchen equipment (old or simply missed) and not quite clean.
Staff of Interhome gave us good support.
Place is quiet and nice. It is superior place to spend some days with dog since there is an open space in front of cottage.
There are two super markets down the hill(mountain?) which is just enough to
have everything you need.
One thing you need to be careful is that this entitiy does not have WIFI connection. If you really want to connect to internet, you need to prepare by yourself.
Apartment was lovely - clean and well-stocked. Beds were comfortable and main bedroom was roomy. Restaurants and hiking trails close by.
