THE LOCAL AREA
A microcosm of London's shifting ethnic patterns, the area around Brick Lane in East London was once associated with poor slums and the scene of the crime for the Jack the Ripper murders. Whilst the notorious pub Ten Bells still stands, the area itself is now extremely popular with London’s edgy and artistic crowd, featuring galleries, restaurants, markets and festivals throughout the year.
The Old Truman Brewery at 91 Brick Lane houses a vibrant market where up-and-coming designers set up shop every Sunday selling a unique variety of clothes, handbags and jewellery. There are also vintage clothing stores and chic boutiques dotted around the area.
As a hub of London's Bangladeshi community, Brick Lane has always been famed for its many authentic curry restaurants. It now also has a reputation for its warehouse art exhibitions and trendy clubs and bars. So, before your East London experience is complete, be sure to head to the Vibe Bars beer garden or 93 Feet East (150 Brick Lane) which has become an East End institution well known for its eclectic mix of live music and intimate atmosphere.
London's oldest market, Spitalfields is now a seven-days-a-week destination. Spitalfields markets, once a Sunday-only mainstay, are open every day. Resplendent under a Fosters & Partners-designed glass canopy, Spitalfields Traders Market and shops offer cutting edge fashion and interiors, original artworks and as well as food.
Spitalfields market is surrounded by independent shops, cafes, bars and awarding winning restaurants like Canteen, Galvin La Chapell and Giraffe.
COLUMBIA STREET FLOWER MARKET
For an authentic East London experience, nothing comes close to Columbia Road market on a Sunday morning. Jam packed with the best blooms in the capital, it’s a lively and pretty noisy affair (and not for those who prefer peace and quiet on a Sunday), with salt-of-the-earth Eastender types, shouting at the top of their lungs and all trying to outdo one another's patter.
During the rest of the week you can dine and shop at the rest of the quaint little restaurants and boutiques.
THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO BE IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE LONDON AT ITS BEST!!!
Lovely home inside, comfy and clean. Lots of room. Extras were a nice touch. The linen was soft and smelt nice.
I had a problem getting in a few times because people kept locking from the inside in the evenings but rang the bell and all was fine.
The outside of the property is being renovated but no workmen luckily.
Outside of the front door, the hallway and outside could do with some spring cleaning, i can see this is the neighbours fault but otherwise i enjoyed my stay.
the accomodation we have visited was, clean but dated. The wash room was clean but some parts of the floor was broken up, that will be dangerous for our feets.
EN: The apartment is clean, close to the centre and in a quiet area.
Perfect accommodation to visit London!
FR: L'appartement est propre, proche du centre et dans une zone calme. Location parfaite pour visiter Londres.
Very nice trip at Kazzos's flat. Really nice room, the kitchen is useful too. What a pity that the doors are so noisy !!!!!!
Nice room. Central location.
Nice accommodation. A bit out of the city centre but easily accessible with the tube. Room is clean and cozy, bed was alright. Lights in the bathroom didn't work though.
I booked a room for a friend and I during our 4 day trip in London. It's really really cheap considering the location (zone 2).
The room was spacious with a nice bed and tv. There are cupboards if you want to unpack your bags. There were clean bedsheets and towels. The room was also very clean as well.
The kitchen and bathroom are shared with 2 other bedrooms. They are cleaned every day. There's everything you need to cook in the kitchen, and a Tesco supermarket is on the other side of the street, open till midnight. There's also a great place across the street called foxcroft & ginger : good tea and yummy pastries. Worth a try !
The room is 5 minutes away from the tube, even closer to bus stops.
We didn't see our host, but everything was ready for us (keys in the masterlock). Kazzos sends an email after your reservation, and one week before your stay to give you infos about how to get there, what you can do to prepare your trip, etc. Much appreciated !
Thanks a lot, we really enjoyed our stay :)
It has a good location, ten minutes walking from Liverpool station (The city of London). Neighborhood is a bit noisy but it´s fine, you can find supermarkets, restaurants pretty close to the house, no more than 5 minutes walking.
The room was clean. Regards to the bed, it is comfortable but the pillow is a disaster, not comfortable at all. A part from that we had a noise because of the heating was constantly dripping so it sounds like a crazy bird and it was tough to fall sleep.
Breakfast: just one kind of cereals, no milk, only coffee and tea.
We haven´t met the host.

It was a nice and big room with door to the garden. We liked it very much. There was a well equipped kitchen and a little bath and separat a little toilet and friendly and quiet other guests. It was a good and quiet place to start in a day. We also liked east end.
Nice stay! Near from the metro, from the city, from brick lane!!
The room has tv,wifi, a small table so we could have our breakfast in the room, and coffee cereals in the kitchen.
We were in the inside room that was more quiet than those on the main street, but take your hearing protectors if noises usually disturbs you.
Take also an adapter for your phone if you re not from england!
We ll come back here next time in london!
