Houseboat Tante Piet, stay w/ Sietske
|住所||Dijksgracht, 1019BT Amsterdam, オランダ|
Please note: the Tante Piet is shared with the lady owner, she is super relaxed! Of course you will receive a key and you can come and go as you pleases, early morning or deep at night. The kitchen and shower are shared with the lady owner.
Renovated from a 1928’s working ship, the Tante Piet is located on a green street with a village like atmosphere.
The double bed is super comfortable, in the guest room is a washing basin and a separate toilet. The second bed is in the living room. The shower is separate with a second toilet.
The bedroom of the lady owner is at the other end of the boat, 17 meters apart from the guest room.
A lovely small walk away of 20 minutes, you will be in the famous canal and Jordaan area. Full of unique vintage shops, bars, restaurants and neighborhood markets.
After a day strolling through the bubbling city center, it is wonderful to come home and relax in the garden. The place to enjoy a drink, breakfast or even a campfire! The sun is there from morning to evening!(A secret joke is to greet all passersby as if you live on the ship for years!)
In wintertime you can enjoy, snuggled up on the couch, the wood burning stove.

Siet welcomed me warmly. We had a wonderful weekend at her house boat. It was very clean. Siet even put food for our breakfast in the fridge. That was very kind of her. I would love to come back some day.
We enjoyed staying on Siet's beautiful boat. The location is 3 minutes walk to a tram stop and 15 minutes walk to the Centre of Amsterdam. Siet is very friendly and accommodating and the boat has everything you need. A good choice when staying in Amsterdam.
I don't even know where to begin! what an absolutely fabulous holiday we had in Amsterdam! With a little trip out to Cologne thrown in for good measure! The Boat was stunning and in such an excellent location, we have never stayed so close to the centre of Amsterdam!! Our hostess.... Siet, what an amazing lady, she made us feel so welcome, our flight was delayed and we actually arrived late, but Siet greeted us with a warm smile and open arms. Throughout the entire stay she couldn't have been more hospitable, and it was our pleasure that she joined us in some late, and some very very late night drinking sessions!! I'm positive that we will be returning to stay with Siet ASAP, i'm also hopeful that we will be able to take a spin out on her motor boat next time :) an all round fantastic lady, boat and location!! would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone wishing to visit Amsterdam 100% and 10/10 X
Very nice and authentic typical Dutch living boat, the boat is lying central and closed to the inner city of Amsterdam as well as not really far away from the main railway station Amsterdam. The boat rooms are clean and friendly styled. Many thanks also to Siet for their friendly hospitality. She is every day in good mood and gives you many helpful advice what you can discover in Amsterdam.
Siets warm welcome with cool beer, practical advices for nice places to be and handlings of her perfect bikes on her beautiful red Houseboat was the beginning of a perfect week end. A Tasteful environment, an open athmosphere and a very easy going and warm host made the stay very pleasant. An open fire in the oven welcomed us at night, was else could you ask for? Thanks so much for a perfect stay so close to the center of amsterdam.
Awesome! my partner and I had never been to the Dam before, and this is a great location that offers you the closeness to the city without being right in it. it's a 10 min walk to the center, past boats and some cool architecture along the river, or the tram stop is about 30 seconds walk and you're in Central station within minutes.
Siet was so welcoming when we arrived, gave us a quick what's what with the boat, and had a coffee and a chat with us pointing out some things we had mentioned on visiting.
the boat is wonderful, very kitsch and cosy, and love the wood burning stove! when we come back in the spring we will defo stay with Siet again if it's available.
if your looking for doing the city, and having a bit of peace after, look no further.
thanks again Siet

We visited Siet's boat on our honeymoon and as such we had some unusual wishes and requests as well as high expectations about Siet's place.
Fortunately Siet's wonderful hospitality, friendly and helpful attitude and the uniqe, cozy and unforgettable atmosphere of her boat far exceeded our expectations. Knowing that we were a newly wedded couple, she ensured complete privacy while not neglecting to keep in touch and ask if we had everything we needed every now and then.
The boat itself is really radiates with confort and there's nothing quite like falling asleep to the soothing, rocking motion of the waves of the canal.
And as if all that was not enough, we could rely on Siet's hospitality and helpfulness throughout our entire trip, even if she had other guests at the moment. She always found a way to give us information, accomodate our luggage or just ask if we had everything we needed.
I highly recommend Siet for not only her unique and romantic boat but also for her genuinely helpful and friendly attitude. She did everything in her power to help make our honeymoon memorable and what else could I say other than that she succeeded perhaps even more than she would think.
Staying at Tante Piet, the lovely houseboat of Siet, was our first stop on our European interrail tour. Travelling with two children, like that, requires welcomeness and short cuts to the real Amsterdam. As a host Siet offered both by her open minded and competent knowledge about Amsterdam. The boat is nice, clean and cosy. It is placed within a Reasonable walking distance from the city centre. The breakfast is wonderful. And if anything goes wrong, Siet sorts it out immediately .
We can only give our warmest recommendations of this house boat as the centre of a truly authentic and heartwarming experience of Amsterdam. We would not hesitate to tell friends and family to go the sooner the better, and hope to be back ourselves someday. Heidi & family, Denmark
