Special Introductory Offer!!! My (gorgeous) Beverly Hills-adjacent Art Deco home, located in a very quiet residential neighborhood, will be your home for the duration of your stay. Live in the heart of the city while enjoying the quiet and comfort of a suburban residential neighborhood. No apartments and plenty of parking. No parking permits!
The master bedroom is your sanctuary with a brand-new, incredibly-comfortable California king-size bed and two plush, over-sized, leather club chairs. Enjoy TV, DVD, 15 mps high-speed wireless Internet. The (shared) bathroom is right next door and features a shower large enough to accommodate two and separate bathtub. Enjoy full kitchen access with a lovely Art Deco breakfast nook. Espressos, lattes, juicer, etc. and a blender for smoothies and/or Margaritas. Forget Starbucks and Jamba Juice. Lovely formal dining room and a designer living room features a fireplace, view of downtown, and 55-inch LED/LCD surround-sound, multimedia home theater. Do you prefer your martini shaken or stirred? A brand-new steam-cleaning washer/drier is available. Clothes all crumpled from traveling? The drier has a quick steam refresh feature. No ironing! Beautifully landscaped back yard for lounging, drinking, dining, even entertaining.
I live two minutes south of BEVERLY HILLS just off the ultra-chic, celebrity-filled Robertson Blvd (much more hip than Rodeo Drive, but close to there too if you like), CENTURY CITY, WEST HOLLYWOOD and (if you prefer locals to tourists) the newly-refurbished CULVER CITY filled with European-style sidewalk bars, restaurants, multiplex movie theater, and the intimate (Art Deco) Kirk Douglas Theater if you prefer drama. Have a drink in the historic Culver Hotel where the Munchkins slept and notoriously partied (hard) every night while filming The Wizard of Oz. (Ruby slippers optional.) You are 15 minutes, but usually less, from everywhere else whether it be the AIRPORT (want me to pick you up?), DOWNTOWN, WESTWOOD (UCLA), HOLLYWOOD, VENICE, or SANTA MONICA. Virtually all of LA's many museums and attractions are within easy reach.
My "Pico/Roberson" neighborhood is quiet, classy, eclectic and ethnically-diverse with small, intimate restaurants ranging from Thai to Vietnamese, Chinese (including Liz Taylor's favorite), Sushi, countless Kosher restaurants (including LA's first delicatessen), Kosher Mexican if you can believe that, authentic Mexican (duh!), French, Lebanese, bakeries galore, and even a hand-made ice cream and candy store. All are within walking distance. Elat, an unbelievable, multi-ethnic Middle-Eastern/Mediterranean supermarket is just up my street on Pico. (Great website!) Trader Joe's is five minutes away as is a more traditional Von's supermarket. Every Thursday, we have a terrific neighborhood Farmer's Market just a few blocks away featuring locally-grown produce.
A historically Jewish neighborhood (now ethnically diverse), countless synagogues are within walking distance, but so is St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. And an Egyptian Coptic Church is right next door to an Indian Sikh Temple just a few blocks from my house. Talk about eclectic!
On the other side of Robertson is La Cienega's "Restaurant Row." Dining/theater options are limitless. Within minutes, you are cruising the historic Fairfax District: Little Ethiopia, Farmers Market, and The Grove's Shopping/Dining/Theater Complex. Cantor's Deli! How about The Laugh Factory or The Comedy Store on the SUNSET STRIP? I am in the center of it all and for the most part you can avoid LA's notorious traffic by sticking to surface streets or rapid transit.
I am one short block from a major bus line and minutes from LA's new rapid transit rail system. Subways in LA? Who knew? An inexpensive "unlimited" day pass whisks you to USC and Exposition Park, Downtown, Hollywood, both the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys, Long Beach (The Queen Mary) and all parts in between. Don't miss the Watts Towers! Link to Central Station, another of LA's many magnificent Art Deco palaces, and catch a train to San Diego (short walk to Mexico), San Francisco, or even Portland and Seattle.
Or forget rapid transit and LA traffic entirely! Bring (or rent) a bicycle! I am one mile from the Ballona Creek bike path which carries you straight to Marina del Rey's beach bike paths south through the quaint coastal cities of Hermosa and Redondo Beach to the Palos Verdes Peninsula (and light house), or north through Venice and Santa Monica all the way to Pacific Palisades. Return to the Ballona Wetlands and allow the afternoon ocean breeze to push you all the way home. LA Fitness' premier workout facility (including large swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi) is four short blocks away.
ハウスルールMy rules are simple. Treat my home as if it is your home. No smoking or pets, but you may entertains guests in the lovely back yard.

Our first Wimdu/ Airbnb-experience and it was a great one!!! It could not be better...
Randy was a really really nice and polite guy! he helps us when ever we needed help - and it does not matter wether it were just some questions or a if it was a ride to somewhere.
His house is just in the "middle" of LA. You are in 15 - 20 minutes almost everywhere in the city (Downtown, Hollywood, Beach etc). A little Mall and a Supermarket just 5 minutes away.
The room/ house was clean and we had enough space for our private things. Randy gave us enough "space" to breath or to relax (if we need it), but on the other hand you could talk to him and can have really great conversations for hours and hours.
We really appreciated Randy. From the first moment you feel like old friends!!!
We would highly recommend Randy and his nice house if you are looking for a clean room in the middle of LA with a lovely, omniscient and super nice host.
We would choose this apartement again and again and again!
Randy thanks a lot and we´ll see us in Germany ;-)
Randy is a wonderful host! He was really helpful when we needed help. Our room was clean and nice we also enjoyed staying in our room watching netflix. Besides the traffic it was really fast to come to everything we wanted to see. We would always choose randys house again it felt like home.
The best decision you can make is to choose Randy's home. I have been there for 15 nights and I really enjoyed every minute. Randy is a very smart person and a wonderful host. He has an answer for every question and he is always here to help. The house is beautiful and you feel like you have found a new home. I'm looking forward to come back to you as soon as possible. Thank's for everything, Randy !!
Randy is AMAZING. Best host we have had so far with Wimdu! If you have the chance to travel to LA go there and you will feel like home.
Randy is a great guy ! He knows everything on LA and his advises are very very good.Trust me, you won't be disappointed !
Go in Randy's house.. Then It will be your second house.
Randy if you read this message, thank you for everything.
What can I say - it was just perfect. When we had arrived, Randy explained us everything in his house, so it was easy to find one's bearings. The house was so nice... The room was quite comfortable and the location was great, so Downtown and Beach could be reached in thirty minutes by bus. The kitchen has been large and nothing was missing, cooking was also pleasant. So, Rand: We'll see you again!
There would be nothing more to say, but since this is a review, here we go:
Randy was the best host we had so far. He will do everything that you have a great time in LA. And he has many informations and recommendations that will give you the opportunity to explore LA not only as a tourist.
Randy is very comunicative and he knows some good stories to tell, if you would like to talk to your host, if you won't force you into it. :-)
The house is worth a stay as well. You can use the kitchen, have a nice backyard which is a beautiful place for having your meals and the shower is very comfi, and so is the bed.
And it is perfectly located to reach the different places in LA (short times to the beaches, to downtown and Hollywood...)
Next time in LA we will definitely try to get a room at Randy's again!
Hope to see you in Germany, big guy!
Our decision to stay with Randy' was a good one for several reasons. Firstly, Randy is a very friendly and cooperative person. If you like, he offers you lots of great advice regarding L.A. and its surronding. Randy has even mastered various sightseeing broshures. You can borrow it from him anytime. Secondly, the house and our room were clean and nice. The bathroom and kitchen were convenient und well equiped. Finally, Randy's house is perfectly located. It is just a couple of minutes to Beverly Hills and a short drive to the beach. Hollywood and Universal Studios are not too far away, as well. My husband and I definitely recommend to stay at Randy's.
Unfortunately we spent only 3 days in LA at Randy's. But it really payed off to stay at Randy. He is a great, helpful and open-minded guy and a pleasant host. Even long before we arrived he supported us with a vast amount of invaluable informations, tipps and insights. He gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home. His house is a nicely decorated and furnished place, is perfectly situated between Beverly Hills/Hollywood and Santa Monica. We followed his suggestions of the Do's & Don'ts of LA and had three wonderful days (pretty different each). Don't be silly and ignore his helpful suggestions but just take your time to talk to him and you will receive funny and unique stories about nearly everything that might be of interest to you. Even before your stay he will provide you more material (his own, approved by his travelers!) than you could collect in a day at the Los Angeles Public Library ;-) He really loves LA, and who could be a better guide?
He is fond of company and loves to share things and experiences no matter what. We were really sad when we had to leave and desolate that we could not enjoy his beautiful, contemplative garden for another relaxing get-together. But if we should come to LA again (likely!) we would love to take Randy as the pivotal point of our trips again. Keep the spirit Randy!
