We had a really pleasant stay at this appartment in the center of Gdansk.
We stayed there with our 14 year old daughter and her friend. Monika's mother gave us a warm welkome. The apartment is nicely decorated and wel equiped.
We arrived on a late flight but Monika's mother was at the appartment waiting for us as promised and was very helpful in showing us around the place and acquainting us with the facilities.
Next morning we realised what an excellent position the apartment is in. It's a short stroll to the river and all the main sites. It's also close to bars and restaurants but at night it is very quiet which is unusual in my experience - and welcome!
The apartment itself is fairly spacious, the beds are comfortable and there are roller blinds which are very effective. The kitchen area has everything you need - fridge/freezer, microwave lots of utensils and even a proper espresso machine.
The apartment is very clean and airy. The bathroom is a bit small with a shower over a small bath but it's fine for a few nights. There are a lot of stairs up to the apartment but it is well lit so not a problem for us.
We had a great time in Gdansk made all the better due to Monika's apartment!
Lovely apartment. Very spacious and bright. Located perfectly, It's a stones throw from the verve and charm of the old town yet in quiet and safe surroundings. Really easy correspondence with both the apartment owner and her mother. Perfect choice if you want to visit Gdansk.
My friend and I enjoyed our stay in Monika’s flat very much. Her mother made us most welcome when we arrived. Do be aware, however, that there is an extra charge if you arrive late in the evening.
The apartment is compact and was lovely and warm during our week at this very cold time of year (February). We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you like to cook then there is a 2 ring gas hob and a microwave oven. That was all we needed as we were happy to eat out each evening in one of the many restaurants in the neighbourhood.
The location is ideal, right in the centre of town, but in a quiet street. There is a bakery around the corner and a small grocery store close by, with several others in a short walking distance.
There is plenty to do and see in Gdansk even in the winter when some things, including the water taxis, are closed. Don’t forget also to see Lower Gdansk and the bastions, the forgotten area of the town.
We will be recommending Gdansk and this apartment to our friends.
We loved our stay in Gdansk. The apartment was prepared very well and very clean. It was located perfectly for our needs as we could walk over to the square in less than 5 minutes.
Thanks for a great stay!
What a location! Right in the city center to explore such a beautiful city. The birthplace of Fahrenheit vis-a-vis and the Ulica Dluga only a stone's throw...
After a very warm welcome by Monika's mother we enjoyed staying at this comfortable and warm place. Recommended. Thanks a lot!
My friends and myself had a wonderful time at Monika's place. Its location is ideal to explore the city: it's right in the city center.
Monika's mother gave us a very warm welcome and explained the most important things in the apartment.
Bathroom and toilet are separated, which is ideal if you are a party of 4.
Monika was very helpful and provided a great list of tips to get us started.
Gdanks itsself is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been.
If you take a taxi fromt the airport, the fee will be about 60 zloty.
If you're coming to Gdansk, stay at Monika's place. 100 % recommendation.
Spent a fantastic weekend in Gdansk with 2 friends in this spacious, light and airy apartment which made our stay even more enjoyable. There is one double bed and two singles in the second bedroom. There is also a sofa bed in the sitting room so you could sleep 6 as a group. We were met late in evening on our arrival by the hosts mum who was only too happy to help us out with advice on places to visit. The one thing visitors with mobility issues need to note is that there are 4 or 5 flights of stairs to climb to reach the apartment.
The old town is only a stones throw from the apartment and is a compact centre with plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars to visit. The river is only 3 minutes walk away and you can take boat trips to while away an hour or two. If we make a return trip we would be more than happy to stay here again.
As already said in other reviews, the apartment is indeed in the 'heart of Old Town' and yet very calm and quiet to live and sleep. Its well equipped for 4 or max 5 persons and the walls and paintings are refreshing! We booked on arrival day and came also late in the evening wit.h a car - mind the historical centre and the one direction streets! -, but the communication with Monika was friendly, quickly and efficient (also no parking problem). And Jadwiga was waiting patiently for us! Thank you, we certainly recommend this apartment to other people. Family Homan Bassa, Utrecht Holland
