My husband and I stayed in this studio a week in June, 2016. We loved the central location in the Latin Quarter, as we were able to walk just about anywhere in the city from the apartment. And if we didn't want to walk, Metro locations were convenient. We even joined Vélib, the bike share system, and found a number of stations within close proximity to the studio.
We also appreciated the spacious size of the room -- compared to most European hotel rooms, the studio felt palatial. I found the pull-down bed quite comfortable. WiFi worked well. Amenities are basic, but thoroughly adequate. We did not mind the 3 flights of stairs, either.
We did not find the street or general area to be "quiet" as described, however. It being June in Paris, and the apartment not having air conditioning, we slept with the windows open each night for ventilation. The bar and restaurant noise lasted late into the night and even longer on the weekends. Every morning between 7 and 8 am, the trash and recycling trucks came through as well. Bring earplugs, and consider installing a white noise app on your phone if you're here during open window season.
Our only other issue was with the toilet, which was not in full working order when we arrived and did not flush properly. Pierre was on holiday out of the country, so addressing the problem was difficult. Pierre was very easy to communicate with via email, though, and responded very quickly to my many messages. He was as helpful as he could possibly be from a distance, and we appreciated his availability. Hopefully the toilet is fixed soon!
As a place to call home base and rest our heads, we were happy with the apartment. Especially for the excellent and very competitive price.
The apartment is in a great location and is comfortable. Pierre was really nice. It was really small and the staircase after a long day of walking can be tough
Small apartment but perfect if you don't plan on staying in much! Small but perfectly fine bathroom. Didn't use the kitchen but it was also small - again, perfect if you're not planning on staying in. Good location, good value and close to metro station too. Would definitely recommend!
Good location for this comfortable studio. Bed linen and towels are provided. Don't forget an hair dryer... and forks (everything else you need for a quick dinner is there).
The neighborhood is full of cafés. Pantheon and Norte dame is very close. There is a metro station nearby.
Pierre is very helpful. He was more worried than us about meeting to give us the keys. It was a very lovely flat with a kitchen and a refrigerator. There are everything you need in a flat. There are even books about paris.
It was our first time in Paris. It was like a dream other than the hot weather.
It was a great pleasure to stay at Pierres studio, right next to Notre Dame. It is absolutely suitable for to adults and my girlfriend and I enjoyed it. Pierre is very helpful. I can only recommend the studio to all of you.
I can truly recommend this apartment. It's small but well designed hence for couple is sufficient. The most important asset is location, because area it's quiet, safe and close to tube stations. The landlord was very polite as well.
I just had an one-week stay in Paris, and i found Pierres appartment very satisfying, both in terms of being comfortable and clean, and also in terms of it`s cental location in Paris. It is only 5 to 10 minutes walk from the nearest Metro or RER, and 15-20 minute walk to Notre Dame. I can highly recommend a stay at this appartement :)
Pierre is a perfect host. He was really nice with us. We kept in touch all the time until our arrival. I recommend you to stay at his place. It's a small apartment perfect for few days. The subway is really close and there are lot of supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, etc.
Wereally enjoyed our stay at Pierre's apartment. He was most gracious to meet us at an early hour which kept us off the street with our luggage. The apartment was in a great location in the Latin Quarter, just around the corner from the Pantheon and a short walk to many places such as the Luxembourg Gardens, Rue Moufftard, etc. The apartment was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We had everything we needed. The street was quiet, but plenty of places to eat nearby. We would stay there again and surely recommend it to anyone. You do have a climb up a few flights of stairs, but it wasn't bad.
