Perfect little room in fab location, 2min walk from the cool Brick Lane area. The room was very clean and nicely presented, the street was quiet and safe. A real bargain.
Comfortable room. Quiet but central location.
The placement of the house was great - close to both Bethnal Green st., Shoreditch etc.
The condition of the room was fine compared to prizing and got along fine with the other guests in the house, no problem at all!
However, we ran out of toilet paper and it wasn't replaced for the duration of my stay... really not cool. So we had to use paper towels. Not really great!
And also it says in the description that breakfast is included, which apparantly ment that there were cereals + instant coffee, had to provide milk for ourselves. Not a huge problem, just not really what was expected.
No-Frills spaces, clean, comfortable, easy to get to.
This space is easy to get to, kept clean and usable (clean sheets, coffee & tea in the kitchen, towels (and chocolates!) left on the bed. The wifi works, the other tenants are mostly respectful and quiet.
Clear directions on getting there, how to use the place and keep it tidy are sent well enough in advance. Easily reached by over or underground, lots to do in the area.
Kaz has a good system, and is around if you need to contact him for something. I have stayed in his places before and will again.
Kazzos e-mailed me the exact details of how to get to the apartment (BUT I would suggest commuting to Shoreditch High Street instead of Liverpool Street as it is a really long way to walk from Liverpool Street, especially if you have bigger luggage; another possibility would be Bethnal Green and then Bus No 8 to Brick Lane) and how to procede with the check-in per e-mail, which was very nice and I didn't had any problems checking in some minutes after 3pm. The only disadvantage was that the cleaning lady has not arrived at that time so I found my place not clean and tidy, but the bedding was changed and everything was cleaned up when she arrived.
All in all the apartment is quite outworn but for the low price I think it is okay to stay for a few days. The walls are very thin so it was a little bit annoying when the other tenants came home later than I did and made a lot of noise.
The area around Bethnal Green Road is nice as there are a lot of supermarkets and small shops and bars, but for entering the building you have to walk down a tiny, dark alley where sometimes dubious people came along. Anyway, it's just for about 20 meters and there is a bus stop not far from the house which was very useful for commuting to Shoreditch High Street or Liverpool Street. To sum it up, it was a quite nice stay for low budget and for no more than up to 5-6 nights. You can reach the city center within 30-45 minutes and take a nice bus ride along some sights in London, which is nice for a weekend city trip.
Great value for money. Excellent host.
Clean & comfortable accomodation
Beautiful small single room in a nice house, 10 minutes walking from Bethnal Green station. The room was clean and the kitchen just refurbished, also Wi-fi signal is very strong. I particularly liked the privacy, the autonomy and the perfect info for self check-in.
real nice & comfortable place
Although the room is clean, tidy with a reading and coffee table, it's very small. Both the shower room and toilet are small making it difficult to move about in. The bath is blocking up so needs attention, that means after a shower you have to wait long in order to clean the bath for the next person to use.
The kitchen is good and great for self catering. There is an iron and ironing board, Its a bit of a walk from Whitechapel Tube/Overland station. Brick lane is not far and petticoat lane can be reached easily.
